It is a fine day , fine weather . As See Yan walk out of her university alone with a stacks of books , with a big smile hangs on her face . Well , she has no reason not to be happy because it is her 21 birthday . She is officially an adult today . She choose to keep it low profile , just invite her best friend Michelle , a few of her close friends and her relatives over to celebrate with her . Her dad Mr.Kim Heechul had suggest to had a grand party . Well , that’s what Mr. Heechul likes , social but not her . She is more to her mother , Mrs Eunji type , prefer simple yet memorable celebration .
Suddenly “ Neoraga “ her message ringtone rang . Signaling that there is a new message , she flipped her Lollipop … It’s a message from her boy friend , Siwon . They had been together since See Yan is 17 . Siwon is a famous singer just like See Yan’s dad , he is 3 years older than See Yan .
“Baby , I’m at the coffee shop opposite of you uni . Yea , Im here to pick my birthday girl home . “ Baby is how Siwon address See Yan .
“I’m coming over just in a minute . Can you get me a cup of Java Chips take away . Boy , you know .. I don’t want any cream . Thanks . Love” See Yan replied
“ Alright . Girl , you wait beside of my car alright . I’m using Hangeng’s car . Audi , SYJ 0209” Alright .
Although See Yan always act tough infront of everyone , but her tears never hide in front of Siwon and her mum . That’s why See Yan is always her mum and Siwon’s baby no matter how old she is . Yet , Siwon knows who to warm her broken heart with a hug and her mum know how to cheer her day up by baking her tons of chocolate muffins .
As soon as they get into the car , Siwon put on his glasses and mask . See Yan never regret having a celebrity boy friend because Siwon never let her alone even though he is having busy schedule . At least a call or a text everyday to make sure his girl is fine . That’s a good point of him .
They enjoy talking to each other , just random topics yet it makes both of them so comfortable in it . The car moves through concrete jungles . past through the lake and it finally stops infront of The Kim’s residence .
“Baby , im sorry . I’m not coming to your birthday party tonight . Im having a dinner tonight “
See Yan remain silent and looking at her cup of blended drink.
“ I’m sorry . I don’t wanna disappoint the girls as they had plan it long time ago . “
See Yan eyes get watery and anger begins to strike her . She never expect this would happen to her and Siwon would actually attend a dinner WITH GIRLS instead of attending her 21 BIRTHDAY PARTY . Everyone who is attending the party been anticipating to see this couple show off their love infront of everyone .
Tear began to drop from See Yan’s eyes . She remain silent . refuse looking at Siwon
See Yan don’t know at is the reason that she is crying . At that very moment . Disappointment has overwhelmed her . Every single corner of her heart , her mind had been echo-ing what siwon says . she left the car , bang the door hard and run into her house . Ignoring Siwon calling her name , ignoring that her drinks had spilt over the pathway .
As soon as she open the door , she run straight up into her room .
“Heyyy .. Whats going on with my birthday girl ? “ Mr. Kim was shock at See Yan’s reaction as she enter the house without greeting him and throwing her arms over her mum . He heard how hard See Yan bang her room door and open his eyes widely looking at his wife
“honey , its that Siwon outside there ? why is him not entering the house ? and what happen to Yan Yan ?“
“I have no idea .. Wifey , would you go out and check out for me ? I ‘m afraid that I will break his car window when I found the reason why is my daughter crying and the cause was him .”
“Hubby , could you just calm down first . I’ll check up with Yan Yan first . You just stay in the house . Don’t create some headache for me please . “
“alright alright . Better make sure that fella didn’t make some stupid or silly mistake and break our daughter’s heart”
The house phone rang , Mrs. Eunji look straight to Mr. Heechul . signing to him that he should pick up the phone . Then , she left her apron on the dinning hall and went straight up to See Yan’s room .
“ Anneyonghaseyo , Heechul speaking .” Well , Mr. Kim never get over the way he picks up a phone .
“Its siwon here uncle . Can I talk to See Yan ? She’s not picking up my phone call . “
“ well , I guess my daughter is doing the right thing towards a person who make her cry during her birthday . Tell me the reason young man . “ Mr. Heechul trying to calm himself down and not yell at siwon through the phone .
“Well , I guess she is pretty disappointed about I’m not coming tonight . I just wanna explain to her”
Mr. Heechul hang up the phone right after Siwon finish his sentence . Well , he listens to his wife not creating headache and the best way is not to talk .
“ Yanyan , its omma here . Can I enter into your room ? “
It’s a rule in The KIM’s family not to lock your room door but this doesn’t means that everyone could enter any room without knocking and asking permission . This applies to everyone in the house. Include Mr. Heechul the great has to obey this rule that set by the Queen of the house Mrs. Eunji .
Mrs. Eunji is a very sensible person . She had a sensitive heart to everyone around her and treat everyone with great love and care . Well , perhaps See Yan had inherit her caring heart but with some mixture of Mr. Heechul’s over re-acting . See Yan knows she had no problem talking to her mum when she is in her lowest state .
“If you don’t mind talking to a panda , you can enter .” See Yan reply . Its so obvious she been crying hard .
Mrs . Eunji enter the room , pick a pillow and sit beside to See Yan who is lying on her blue bed and buried herself with all her pillows and toy plush .
“ sweetheart , whats going on ? Is there anything wrong between You and Siwon ? would you mind to tell Omma ? “
“he is not coming . He is going to a dinner with a bunch of girls instead of coming to my 21st birthday and celebrate with me . He never know how import he is to me today . I wish I could just stick to him through out the whole night and proof to everyone . Is not because of appa I had Siwon . Siwon truly loves me for who I am “
“honey , I know you been tired of hearing what your uncle been saying . Ignore them please . Poor little thing , maybe the dinner don’t only contain him and the girls . Maybe there is producers too . “
“Omma, im afraid . I’m afraid that he might leave me for some other girls which looks prettier than me , sweeter than me . which can help him to achieve greater heights .”
“ who told you that you are not pretty ? You look as pretty as your appa . Did you know that your appa was not describe in the word handsome when he is young ? he was describe in the word Pretty . True enough , his little princess is as pretty as him .”
“Omma . tell me what to do ? I’m really disappointed . I’m really sad . I want him to be with me tonight . It’s a big night for me .”
“Honey , stay calm . Its alright . There is a price to be paid to be with people like siwon , people like your appa . They are public people . Due to their job , they cant spend 24/7 with us . But one thing you need to believe in them .. Their heart is always yours . No matter what happen , their love for you is incomparable to what they have to the fan girls outside . Siwon is a good guy , remember how he learn to bake a cake for you and ended up vomiting in the toilet because of eating up too many cake just to find which one taste the best . If he would do that , why don’t you just give in this time . Maybe he will celebrate with you alone tomorrow . Maybe he has better plans to celebrate with you after tonight . who knows , my dear”
See Yan wipe her tears as her mum gave her a tight hug . comforting this soul and bind those broken pieces of her heart through a warm hug . She know her daughter wil be fine . She is as tough as her omma , as tough as her appa .

“Well , perhaps siwon is texing you . Check it out my dear”
“alright . “
See Yan , holding her toy bear she flipped her lollipop and check out the message .
“Baby , im sorry . I bet you have been drowning the whole room with tears . I promise I’ll be back before 12 . At least we blow your birthday cake together . Celebration we will have it tomorrow alright ? Mianhae , saranghaeyo .muakz ”
Finally a smile is hang on See Yan face once again . She knows , he never let her down . She knows , he mean what he says . She knows , she just know it deep in her heart .
Mrs. Eunji give a kiss on See Yan’s forehead as she leave her in the room alone .
“so so , whats up with my daughter . Siwon called and he is not attending tonight . Yaaahhh , this boy jinja .. haizz . Is my princess alright ? “
“Old man , why don’t you get that worry when I cry ? “ Mrs. Eunji say in a teasing way .
“alright alright . I was worried whenever you don’t smile . Get me ? “ Mr. Heechul hops his answer satisfies Mrs. Eunji
“okay . she is fine and alright . Now days teenagers have their own way to sort their love life . We just cant do it like the way we did last time . Come , help me to decorate the cake .”
“owh good . I just hope I don’t mess you cake . “
